The Weidmüller maxGUARD AMG CM is the control module that drives the station's internal bus and forms the two-way link between the ELM load monitoring channels and an external controller or PLC. It differs from the AMG AM in being bidirectional: as well as reporting alarm and I > 90 % pre-warning on short-circuit-proof transistor outputs, it accepts Reset and ON/OFF inputs so channels can be switched and acknowledged remotely. The outputs are positive-switching rather than floating, so specify the AMG AM where galvanic isolation of the signalling is required.
