The 3x150+3G25mm² formation is specified for major drive feeders on infrastructure and heavy industrial projects — tunnel ventilation plant, primary process drives and large water pumping stations.

Features and Specifications

Standards (& Conformities): IEC 60502-1, IEC 60092-353, CE, RoHS, CPR Cca-s1a,d1,a1 (EN 50575), Bureau Veritas, ABS, DNV-GL, Lloyd's Register.

Conductor:

Electrolytic annealed copper, class 5 flexible, to EN 60228 / IEC 60228.

Protective Conductor:

The earth is divided across three conductors distributed symmetrically in the interstices between the phase conductors, giving a balanced impedance path so common-mode currents cancel rather than returning through motor bearings.

Insulation:

Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) to IEC 60502-1, type HF XLPE 90°C to IEC 60092-360. XLPE's lower dielectric constant reduces capacitive coupling under the fast voltage transitions a variable frequency drive produces.

Screen:

Aluminium-polyester tape applied helically over the insulated conductors, with a tinned copper braid over the tape. Tape and braid act as a double screen with 100% coverage and a minimum total section of 10% of the phase conductor. A ripcord allows the outer sheath to be opened without damaging the screen.

Outer Sheath:

Polyolefin type ST8 to IEC 60502-1 and type SHF1 to IEC 60092-360, black. Low smoke zero halogen — low corrosive gas emission to IEC 60754-2 and light transmittance above 80% to IEC 61034.

Installation:

Fixed installations — open air, buried or in conduit. Minimum bending radius 10x cable diameter; impact resistance AG2 (medium severity); UV resistant to EN 50618; water resistance AD5 (jets).

Applications: Variable frequency drive motors and pumps, industrial facilities, and tunnels and enclosed infrastructure where low smoke zero halogen construction is mandatory. The 3C+3G symmetrical configuration with 100% double screen is the arrangement recommended by leading VFD manufacturers and the Gambica Association.
