The EM220-RTU-4DI2DO-GW is the gateway-enabled variant of Weidmüller's BasicLine energy meter, adding Modbus TCP/IP over Ethernet to the standard RS485 Modbus RTU capability — making it the preferred choice where network-based energy monitoring or IT/OT integration is required. Like the base model, it supports single-phase and three-phase measurement via CT connection up to 5000 A primary, with Class 0.5S accuracy and a full complement of 4 digital inputs and 2 digital outputs. The built-in gateway function means RS485 Modbus RTU devices downstream can be bridged onto an Ethernet network without additional hardware.
