The Smartlock Dry Fibre Distribution Chamber (DUFDC-001) offers a secure and innovative underground fibre distribution solution. It is designed to provide a dry and pressurised environment, enhancing network performance and longevity. The chamber supports 19-inch fibre distribution frames, ensuring efficient and reliable fibre management.
For enhanced security and waterproofing, the chamber features a dual-lid system, providing complete ingress protection rated IP68. It includes 14 sealed micro-duct entries and seven fibre transportation tubes, ensuring safe and organised fibre routing and protection during rack extraction.
The Smartlock Chamber incorporates a mechatronic Smartkey locking system, controlling access securely. Additionally, an NB-IoT sensor monitors critical environmental factors such as temperature, vibration, humidity, and light, raising alarms if thresholds are exceeded, thus ensuring optimal operating conditions.
Built with durability in mind, the chamber is constructed from UV-stabilized glass-reinforced polyester (GRP) with a 30% glass fibre content. It complies with SANS 558 Heavy Duty and EN124 Class B125 standards, guaranteeing its robustness and reliability. The extractable rack system supports up to 120kg of equipment and features an electric drill-operated screw drive shaft for convenient maintenance access.
